Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories jumped on share buyback hopes .
The stock gained as much as 2.6 per cent, bucking 0.94 per cent fall in NSE index.
According to an exchange filing last week, the drug maker’s board will consider buyback of shares at a meeting later in the day.
Dr Reddy’s is the top gainer on S&P BSE Healthcare index, which is down 0.2 per cent.
