DSP BlackRock Investment Managers has launched an open-ended index-linked equity scheme, Equal Nifty 50 Fund, which will be opened for subscription from September 29 to October 13.
It is the first passive fund which has been launched by DSP BlackRock AMC. The fund house is hopeful of EPFO and various pension funds (PFs) investing into the fund, the company said.
The fund is an equal-weighted variation of the Nifty 50 index with the same constituent set of companies and will invest in blue chip benchmark stocks.
“We have successfully been managing active funds for over two decades and are now complementing our product range via launch of passive funds,” Kalpen Parekh, president, DSP BlackRock AMC said.
