Edelweiss Financial Services’ consolidated net profit increased 17 per cent year-on-year to ₹91 crore in the June quarter while total income surged43 per cent over the same period to touch ₹1,168 crore. Fund-based income was ₹956 crore, up 40 per cent from the ₹681 crore reported in last year. Fee and commission income stood at ₹163 crore, up 54 per cent from ₹106 crore, while gross premium income from the life insurance business was ₹32 crore, 44 per cent higher than last year’s ₹23 crore. Edelweiss is involved in retail and agricultural finance and its agency business in financial markets, asset management, agri and commodity services, and life insurance.
