Ola Electric, India’s largest pure-play EV company, launched its first electric motorcycle series, the Roadster X, today with prices starting at ₹74,999. The company announced five variants of the motorcycle, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-March 2025.
The shares of Ola Electric Mobility Limited were trading at ₹75.23 up by ₹0.38 or 0.51 per cent on the NSE today at 12.08 pm.
The flagship Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh variant, priced at ₹1,54,999, features the company’s 4680 Bharat Cell technology and claims a range of 501 kilometers per charge. The series includes other variants with 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh battery options, priced between ₹74,999 and ₹1,04,999.
The Roadster series introduces several industry-first features, including patented brake-by-wire technology with single ABS and flat cables for improved efficiency. All models come equipped with a 4.3” LCD screen, USB connectivity, and are powered by MoveOS 5 operating system.
The motorcycles offer multiple riding modes - Sports, Normal, and Eco - and come with a standard warranty of 3 years or 50,000 kilometers. The base variant can reach speeds up to 105 km/h, while the higher-end models can achieve 125 km/h.
This launch follows Ola’s recent introduction of its Gen 3 scooter portfolio and the announcement of its new Gig and S1 Z scooter range, which are set for delivery beginning April 2025.
