Fortis Healthcare on Thursday said its promoter Fortis Healthcare Holdings Ltd has pledged 0.77 per cent stake in the company for an estimated Rs 47 crore.
In a filing to the BSE, Fortis Healthcare (India) said the promoter group firm pledged 31.22 lakh shares, representing 0.77 per cent of the outstanding shares on March 7.
The deal is estimated to be around Rs 47 crore if the calculations are based on the closing price of the stock on the day of transaction on the BSE. The filing, however, did not specify to whom the shares have been pledged.
With this, Fortis Healthcare Holdings Ltd has pledged 14.93 crore shares of the healthcare firm, representing 36.88 per cent stake. Last week, the company changed its name from Fortis Healthcare Ltd to Fortis Healthcare (India) Ltd.
Shares of the company today closed 0.76 per cent down at Rs 149.70 on the BSE.
