Shares of Alstom T&D will remain in focus, as the ₹1,926-crore open offer from the US major began on Monday. Through the offer, which closes on February 1, GE plans to acquire 6.40 crore shares at ₹300.98 a share. Since the open offer is much lower than the prevailing market price, a committee of independent directors had said that shareholders should make informed decision. Retail investors hold 6.55 per cent stake in the firm.
