Goa Carbon has resumed operations at the company’s Goa unit upon completion of maintenance work. The maintenance work at St. Jose de Areal, Salcete-Goa, has been completed and the kiln was lit up on August 16, the company said in a notice to the bourses. After preliminary heat-up, feeding of raw material will commence and normal production is likely to resume from August 18, it added. Shares of Goa Carbon jumped 5 per cent to close at ₹757.40 on the NSE.
