Graphite India has informed the Hon'ble Supreme Court on October 29 that it was voluntarily willing to deposit an amount of ₹50 lakh with the Karnataka State Pollution Board that can be utilised for the Whitefield area. During the course of the hearing, the company informed that the emission results from the Bengaluru plant show that the plant was in compliance with the standards. This was also borne by the KSPCB’s report filed by them with the Supreme Court, which confirmed the company’s submissions, it told the exchanges. Shares of Graphite India closed at ₹966.35, up 0.59 per cent or ₹5.65 from its previous close on the BSE.
