Shares of Hindustan Copper today spurted by 8 per cent in morning trade after the company reported impressive growth in first quarter net profit.
The company’s scrip touched an early high of Rs 267, up 8 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
Similar movement was seen at NSE, where the stock surged by 7.91 per cent to a touch an early peak of Rs 267.30.
Hindustan Copper reported more than two-fold rise in its first quarter net profit at Rs 60.4 crore against Rs 26.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
The company’s quarterly results were announced after the market close yesterday.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 260.50, up 5.40 per cent at 10.45 a.m.
