Hindustan Foods (HFL) has obtained all required licences for pest products and started commercial production from January 2. The company had earlier acquired the pest products manufacturing unit at IGC II, SIDCO Samba, J&K, from Reckitt Benckiser (India) Pvt Ltd on going concern basis. The manufacturing unit will supply pest-care products to Reckitt Benckiser and HFL hopes to achieve a turnover of ₹125 crore annually from this unit. HFL, which has a seven-year committed supply agreement with Reckitt Benckiser, hopes to have a minimum revenue of ₹750-850 crore over the entire period of agreement. Shares of Hindustan Foods closed at the upper circuit of 10 per cent at ₹376, on the BSE.
