Huhtamaki PPL has informed the exchanges that there was a fire accident at its factory at TTC Industrial Estate, Processing Zone, Mahape, Navi Mumbai, on Saturday. The fire, which broke out in an adjoining factory, spread to its factory, but was brought under control by the Fire Brigade, it said. The company is in the process of ascertaining the actual loss caused by the fire and has informed the insurance company. The assets damaged by the fire are adequately covered by insurance. The company is taking adequate steps to get the plant functioning at the earliest, it added. Shares of the flexible packaging and packaging solutions firm slipped 1.17 per cent at ₹304.15 on the NSE.
