Bank stocks consolidated their morning gains ahead of the close on Monday.
At 2.50 p.m. ICICI Bank was the top gainer on the BSE, quoting at Rs 1,202. This represented a gain of 5.18 per cent on its previous close of Rs 1,142.75.
On the NSE it quoted at Rs 1,202.25 or 5.10 per cent higher than its earlier close of Rs 1,143.90.
Earlier in the day, the ICICI Bank stock had touched a high of Rs 1,206.60.
IndusInd Bank also rode up 5.20 per cent to quote at Rs 469.45, as against Rs 446.25 at close on Friday.
