Indowind Energy has informed the BSE that the company has succeeded in getting appeals raised by the Income Tax Department relating to demands for various years, decided in its favour. The outcome of the appeals extends a relief of ₹7.37 crore against a total demand of ₹7.7 crore. Consequently, the company is pursuing refund of ₹98.65 lakh paid, against the litigated demands, as directed by the High Court of Madras. Shares of Indowind Energy jumped 4.84 per cent at ₹5.41 on the BSE.
