IT majors Infosys and Wipro extended their morning gains on the NSE by close on Wednesday. At 3.45 pm Infosys was leading the pack with gains of 3.58 per cent at ₹3,349.45. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹3,233.70.
BPCL flared up during the latter half of the day to emerge among the top gainers by close It was quoting at ₹600.25. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹582.75. This represented a gain of 3 per cent.
Hindalco Industries spiked up 2.92 per cent to quote at ₹193.75. The stock was trading at ₹188.25 at close on Tuesday.
Bank of Baroda traded firm to hold gains of 2.60 per cent at ₹853.65 as against ₹832 at close yesterday.
Wipro made further ground to hold gains of 2.17 per cent at ₹570.90. The share had ended the overnight session at ₹558.75.
