IRB Infrastructure Developers, in consortium with Modern Road Makers Private Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company), has emerged as a preferred bidder for two hybrid annuity projects in Tamil Nadu. The company’s total bid for the projects stands at ₹3,465 crore. The construction period is 730 days and the operation period is 15 years. Besides these projects, its construction order book stands at ₹10,000 crore, to be executed in three years, it said.

“Winning these two projects for the first time under Hybrid Annuity model, demonstrates high trust and confidence in our domain expertise and execution capacities,” said Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & Managing Director at IRB.

The projects are for four-laning of stretch on NH 332 (earlier NH 45A). The first project is four-laning of 56.80 km stretch from Poondiankuppam to Sattanathpuram with cost outlay of Rs 2,196 crore, and the other one is four-laning of 38 km from Puducherry to Poondiankuppam with cost outlay of Rs 1,296 crore.
