IT and banking stocks were in the limelight in the morning session on Thursday. At 11.05 am Infosys was the top gainer on the BSE, trading at Rs 2,050 as against Rs 2,023.10 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 1.33 per cent.
The share’s recent uptrend has been attributed to the rupee’s fall.
Wipro was up 1.23 per cent at Rs 552.20 as against Rs 545.50 at close overnight.
State Bank of India moved up 1.18 per cent to trade at Rs 260.60. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 257.55.
Axis Bank rode up 1.05 per cent at Rs 556.45 as against Rs 550.65 at close last evening.
Larsen & Toubro climbed up 0.84 per cent to trade at Rs 1,666.80 as against Rs 1,652.90 at close previously.
