Jain Irrigation informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that a major fire broke out in its plastic pipe stocking yard in Bambhori, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The stock fell 2.3 per cent at Rs 112.10 at noon on the BSE after the company informed about the fire accident that took place on Saturday evening.
Jain Irrigation Systems said: "The fire was contained in a short period of time without significant damage to life or property. The incident has resulted in loss or damage of certain quantity of finished pipes. Total value of damage is being ascertained. All stocks of the company are covered under appropriate insurance."
