Private bank Lakshmi Vilas Bank today shifted to direct listing from ‘permitted category’ on the BSE.
“The bank has decided to shift from ‘Permitted Category’ to direct listing as it will give visibility to the bank’s scrip through BSE website,” bank’s Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer P R Somasundaram said during the bell ringing ceremony at the BSE today.
The direct listing will help the bank enhance its liquidity of shares and also reach out to investors via over 13,300 trading terminals spread across 295 cities, a bank statement said.
The listing will also assist investors to get additional forum to purchase or sell bank’s shares, it said.
Lakshmi Vilas Bank has presence in over 15 states.
Shares of the bank closed at Rs 78.80 on the BSE today.
