Duncans Industries has informed the exchanges that the central government through a gazette notification on January 28, authorised the Tea Board to take steps to take over the management or control of six tea gardens — Birpara, Dumchipara, Hantapara, Tulsipara, Lankapara and Garganda — of the company. However, the company being aggrieved by such notification is now in the process of taking suitable legal recourse, it said in the notification. Shares of Duncans Industries slipped 1.2 per cent at ₹15.9 on the NSE.
