Metal stocks ended lower on Wednesday with the Nifty metal index down by 0.66 per cent at 3,797.25.
Index heavyweights like Hindalco was down 1.74 per cent at Rs 256.90, SAIL (-1.51% at Rs 81.70), and Nalco (-1.03% at Rs 82.05).
Other metal stocks like Hindustan Zinc (-1.04% at Rs 313.85), Vedanta (-1.1% at Rs 309.45), JSW Steel (-0.2% at Rs 269.40), Coal India (-0.93% at Rs 271.25) and Tata Steel (-0.05%) at Rs 711) were also down.
However, APL Apollo Tubes was up by 1.91% at Rs 1,885, MOIL (+0.42% at Rs 252.20) and Jindal Steel & Power (+0.43% at Rs 173.45).
