Asian stocks were trading in a mixed range on Tuesday.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 119.66 points or 1.23 per cent to 9,599.23. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 17.76 points or 0.57 per cent to 3,158.38. South Korea’s Kospi was up 1.21 points or 0.06 per cent at 2,117.08. Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 was up 8 points or 0.16 per cent at 4,894.80.
New Zealand’s NZX 50 rose 3.85 points or 0.11 to 3,463.36. Thailand’s SET was down 0.24 points or 0.02 per cent at 1,078.42. Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Composite fell 1.65 points or 0.11 per cent to 1,553.83. Indonesia’s Jakarta Composite was down 12 points or 0.32 per cent at 3,688.05.
China, Taiwan and Hong Kong’s stock markets are closed today on account of Qingming Festival.
