Shares of MPIL Corporation (erstwhile Mather and Platt (India) Ltd) will remain in focus, as open offer to its shareholders begins on Tuesday. Milan Dalal plans to acquire 1.486 lakh shares at ₹253 a share. The open offer ends on October 26. The offer was mandatory after Milan Dalal had entered into a share purchase agreement with Jumbo Investments, promoter of MPIL Corporation, to acquire 3.856 lakh shares (or 67.46 per cent stake) at ₹9.717 crore.
