NHPC has informed the exchanges that the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, has accorded approval for diversion of 4,577.84 ha of forest land in favour of the company. NHPC plans construction of Dibang Multipurpose Project (3,000 MW) on Dibang River in Lower Dibang valley, Arunachal Pradesh. Shares of NHPC closed at ₹20.6, down 0.7 per cent on the NSE.
