Jain Irrigation has received a Letter of Intent from the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to execute the Mohanpura Major Project.
In this project, the total cultivable command area of 2,28,475 acres is to be brought under micro irrigation. The value of the project is ₹975 crore.
The project, which is to be completed in 36 months, includes operation and maintenance for three years post completion.
This pressurised piped irrigation project is to be designed in such a way that all farmers will be able to attach their micro irrigation systems at a later stage to the outlets provided at every one hectare level.
Shares of Jain Irrigation gained 0.87 per cent at ₹74.80 on the NSE.
