Reliance Industries rose over 1 per cent in the early trade on the bourses ahead of the company’s annual shareholder’s meet here today.
The scrip rose 1.39 per cent to touch an early high of Rs 965.10 on the BSE, while on the NSE it went up by 1.39 per cent to touch a high of Rs 964.35. The stock gained 0.6 per cent in the previous trading session on the BSE.
Growth in RIL’s counter was significant in helping the broader gauge Sensex make a comeback after the previous session’s fall, with the bellwether index jumping by 134.84 points to trade at 18,629.02 at 10.01 a.m.
Marketmen said RIL’s counter is witnessing some action as investors are hoping for some major announcement by the company.
