SEBI in a circular passed on Thursday said that it had decided to defer the implementation of the new reporting format for Offshore Derivative Instruments (ODIs)/ Participatory Notes (PNs) following clarifications being sought by FIIs.
The format asked for many details including that of ODI/PN activity, and details of assets under management, and details of underlying trade or trades where the type of underlying security is equity, derivative or debt
According to a circular passed by SEBI on January 17, reports with this information were to be submitted by the 10{+t}{+h} of every month with a six months' lag, starting from April.
It has now been decided that the first such monthly report shall be submitted for the month of July before 7th August, said the circular from SEBI. The old reporting format continues till June.
