Geojit BNP Paribas on Wednesday launched a new trading platform branded as Selfie, which is as a one-stop-shop for investment decisions, and is available for all asset classes, except commodities.

Selfie is available on the web as well as tablets, specifically for Geojit’s clients.

The exclusive edition for tablet’s on Android and iOS is available in app stores for download.

In other words, Selfie has been custom developed to ensure accessibility on all kinds of devices, operating systems and browsers, such as Chrome, Safari, Mozilla and Internet Explorer.

The company already has an online trading platform called Flip and mobile trading platform Flipme, which were launched in 2010. Non-clients can also experience the product at a lower level.

Geojit BNP Paribas’ Managing Director CJ George pointed out that the launch comes at an opportune time as Internet-based trading is growing at a scorching pace. And this pace is only going to strengthen, going forward.

“In the year 2000, 5 per cent of the volumes came from Internet platform for Geojit, which has now touched 55 per cent,” George said.

The launch was inaugurated by market maven Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, along with Geojit BNP Paribas Chairman, AP Kurian, and MD, CJ George.
