Shree Rama Newsprint has informed the exchanges that due to collapse of the cooling tower of its power plant early on Monday, the entire plant has been shut down. The restoration work will start, but it is not possible to state at this time when normal production will be resumed, it further said, and added the extent of loss is being assessed. “The insurance claim has been lodged and initial survey has been done.” According to the company web site, it manufactures newsprint and printing & writing paper at a single location in Barbhodhan, Gujarat. Shares of Shree Rama closed at ₹26, down 2.8 per cent, on the BSE.
