MV SSL Kolkata, a vessel of Shreyas Shipping & Logistics , on June 13 met with an accident – an explosion followed by fire on its deck/holds. The ship’s crew is safe, the company said in a notice to the stock exchanges. The incident had happened when the ship was travelling from Krishnapattinam to Kolkata at around 22.15 hours. All concerned authorities have been intimated, it added further. Currently, the vessel is off Sandheads near Kolkata port and all available resources are being mobilised. Shares of Shreyas Shipping slipped 2.3 per cent at ₹464.15 on the BSE.
