SpiceJet is “working closely” with Japanese firm Setouchi Holdings Inc for 10-seater and 14-seater amphibious plane operations for regional connectivity.
The company did not disclose the type of operations it has planned. An amphibious aircraft can takeoff and land both on land and water.
Setouchi Holdings owns Quest, manufacturer of amphibious and non-amphibious aircraft globally. Investors will closely monitor the development.
