Shares of SpiceJet today rose by nearly 4 per cent after the budget carrier announced another round of discounts, offering flyers fares as low as Rs 1,999 under a ‘Monsoon Sale’ scheme.
SpiceJet’s stock ended at Rs 20.85, up 3.73 per cent on the BSE. During the day, it gained 6.96 per cent to Rs 21.50.
In terms of volume, 155.68 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE during the day.
The fresh round of discounted fares is applicable for three days starting today on all SpiceJet flights from eight cities in South India, the airline said in a release.
The cities are Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mysore and Visakhapatnam.
Travel under this offer will be valid from July 11 to September 30, according to the release.
