Standard Chartered Bank (Mauritius) picked up approximately a three per cent stake in United Stock Exchange (USE) on Monday said a statement from the exchange. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The USE offers currency futures in four currency pairs, viz, USD/INR, EUR/INR, GBP/INR and JPY/INR and currency options on USD/INR. BSE owns 15 per cent in this exchange which also has 21 PSU banks, five private banks, two trading firms and other corporate institutions.
