Vedanta was the top gainer on the bourses on Friday. The share closed the session at Rs 146.20 on the NSE, a gain of 5.26 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 138.90.
Sun Pharma was also on a firm wicket, trading at Rs 901.55. This represented a gain of 3.34 per cent on its previous close at Rs 872.40.
Zee Entertainment edged up further to hold gains of 2.31 per cent at Rs 361.15 against Rs 353 at close yesterday.
Bank of Baroda rode up 2.29 per cent at Rs 156.45 against Rs 152.95 at close previously.
Grasim Industries gained 2.27 per cent to close at Rs 3,596.50 against its Thursday close at Rs 3,516.65.
