Tata Power Company on Friday signed share purchase agreements with Tata Sons and Panatone. With Tata Sons, it entered into a pact to sell 59.08 crore shares in Panatone Finvest and with Panatone for sale of 1.339 crore shares in Tata Communications. Pursuant to the agreement in 2002 - between the Union Government, Panatone, TSL, Tata Power, Tata Steel and Tata Industries - the surplus land assets of TCom have to be demerged into a separate entity.
