Torrent Pharmaceuticals has received approval from the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency to sell the generic version of Abilify tablets, used in treatment of mental disorders. While the drug is primarily used in the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, it is also used as an add-on treatment in major depressive disorder, tic disorders and irritability associated with autism. Investors will track the development.
