After a battering on Monday on account of the tax proposals laid out in Budget 2016-17, analysts’ eyes would be on auto companies’ sales figures, due for release on Tuesday. Auto majors, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, M&M, Eicher Motors, Escorts, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor and Ashok Leyland will announce February sales figures on Tuesday. Analysts expect the figures to be subdued, both sequentially and year-on-year.
