The board of directors of Mawana Sugars on Friday gave approval for installation of incinerator boiler, evaporators and bagasse shed at Nanglamal Sugar Complex, Meerut, UP, at a cost of ₹29 crore. It will also explore the possibility of expansion of the NSC distillery to 150 kilo litres per day from 120 KLPD. Besides, it will apply to the Department of Food and Public Distribution (Union Government) to set up a new distillery of 120 KLPD at Mawana Sugar Works, a unit of the company.
