Global environment is much less hospitable for India at present, Subir Gokarn, Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor, said at the Swiss India Leadership Lecture here today.
The Deputy Governor said that the commodity prices are stubborn and that the rising oil and food prices are adding pressure to the high inflation.
“Our exports are suffering as global markets not recovering fast,’’ he added.
