The Indian rupee held steady at Rs 49.32/33 per US dollar in early trade today due to uneven demand and supply transactions in view of uncertainty in the currency market.
The rupee resumed higher at Rs 49.28/29 per dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange, against its previous close of Rs 49.32/33 per dollar, and hovered in a range between Rs 49.28 and Rs 49.47 per dollar before quoting at Rs 49.32/33 dollar at 1030 hours.
