The All-Kerala Bank Employees Federation has urged the Centre to withdraw the decision to allow 49 per cent foreign direct investment in the insurance sector. The federation in a statement said the decision would hurt the interests of the nation. Already, certain insurance companies which had tie-up with foreign companies are repatriating large quantum of their profits to their partners abroad, it said.
