Pragathi Gramin Bank, a Bellary-based regional rural bank sponsored by Canara Bank, has achieved 100 per cent core banking solution (CBS).

According to Mr M.G. Bhat, Chairman of the bank, “As on August 26, all the bank's 368 branches have come under CBS network and thereby equipped us to serve its customers in a better and faster way.

“This facilitates us to serve customers spread across the eight districts of Bellary, Chitradurga, Chikkaballapura, Davanagere, Kolar, Koppal, Raichur and Shimoga in the State.”

The bank is now planning to offer open diversified channels of services such as online banking, mobile banking, e-Banking, e-Business, RTGS, which helps in giving basket of services to customers.

The regional rural bank has set a target of Rs 11,100 crore of business and is in the process of adding Rs 2,000 crore of business in 2011-12, thereby crossing Rs 5,000 crore in deposits and advances.
