The rupee gained 13 paise to 45.00/01 against the US dollar in the morning trade today on persistent selling of dollar by banks and exporters.
In a narrow movement at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, the domestic currency opened higher at 45.04/05 a dollar against the previous close of 45.13/14 per dollar and moved up further to 45.00/01. At 10.30 a.m., the rupee was quoting at 45.03/04.
