State Bank of India's Financial Planning Wealth Management Centre was recently launched here, according to a SBI release. Inaugurating the centre, Mr Suriender Kumar, Chief General Manager, SBI Bengal Circle, explained the kind of services such as investment planning, retirement planning and investment advisory across products the centre would offer.
The bank proposes to set up 50 such centres across the country. In West Bengal, one such centre has already been opened at Siliguri and two more would be set up shortly at Durgapur and Bidhannagar, the release added.
