Mr M. Anjaneya Prasad assumed charge as Executive Director of Syndicate Bank on August 24, according to a press release from the bank. Prior to his appointment as ED in Syndicate Bank, he was General Manager of Andhra Bank.
Mr Prasad joined Andhra Bank in 1978 as a management trainee (probationary officer). He has a good exposure in various fields such as planning, operations, marketing, quality assurance, corporate credit, resource mobilisation and human resource management. He also served as zonal manager of the Chennai zone, General Manager at Head Office in charge of Marketing, Operations and MSME departments. He was heading the Mumbai zone as General Manager since May 2008.
