All India Bank Employees' Association has supported the strike call by State Sector Bank Employees Association (SSBEA).
SSBEA, representing the employees of the five associated banks of State Bank of India, has called for a strike on June 7 and July 28 to press for their demands.
SSBEA has opposed the merger of five associate banks with SBI and instead suggested amalgamation of the five banks to form a separate new banking entity.
SSBEA also opposed "unilateral imposition" of "adverse" service condition on the employees of these associate banks -- State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank Bikaner and Jaipur and State Bank of Patiala.
