Apollo Munich Health Insurance, a private health insurer, on Wednesday launched a comprehensive Cancer plan called ‘iCan’.
The salient features of ‘iCan’ are that it provides lifelong coverage plan and comes with an annual renewal policy year-after-year even after the claim, said Antony Jacob, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Munich Health Insurance, during the launch event.
Also, a unique aspect of this product is that it provides a combination of both ‘indemnity’ and ‘benefits’ under a same offering, he explained.
The plan comes with features such as CritiCare and FamilyCare, where the policy holder gets 60 per cent of the sum insured as lumpsum payment on diagnosis of cancer, and 100 per cent on diagnosis of advanced stages or recurrence of cancer, which is in addition to hospitalisation costs.
