Axis Bank, on Thursday, announced that Puneet Sharma will be its new Chief Financial Officer in place of Jairam Sridharan.
“The board of directors of the bank, at its meeting held today, has approved the appointment of Puneet Sharma as the CFO and the key managerial personnel of the bank,” it said in a regulatory filing, adding that his appointment will be effective March 6.
As President and CFO of the bank, Sharma will report directly to Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank. The private sector lender had announced on December 6 that Sridharan has resigned as the Group Executive CFO.
