Axis Bank is planning to open 12 new branches in Andhra Pradesh, according to its Deputy Managing Director, Mr S K Chakrabarti. The proposed addition of new branches in the State would take the total number of branches to 106, Mr Chakrabarti said in a release.
The new branches in the Hyderabad circle would come up at Jubilee Hills, Seri-Lingampally, Malkajgiri and Diamond Point. In the Vijayawada Circle, branches would be opened in Eluru and Goppalapatnam.
Axis Bank had also tied up with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for collection of sales tax and undertaking Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Project, disbursement of wages and pension under NREGS and Social Security Pension (SSP) Scheme, among others, he added.
