Exim Bank has paid Rs 433 crore to the central government towards balance of net profit transferred to the central exchequer for 2014-15.
The RTGS receipt for this amount was handed over to the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley by Exim Bank's Chairman and Managing Director Yaduvendra Mathur at North Block in the capital.
For the financial year 2014-15, Exim Bank had reported a net profit of Rs 726 crore.
In the last five years, Exim Bank --which is wholly owned by the Central government--had transferred Rs 1,425 crore as balance of net profit to the Central Government.
