The IDBI Bank management has convened a meeting on Thursday with representatives of the All India IDBI Bank Officers Association and All India IDBI Bank Employees in a renewed bid to settle the long-pending wage revision issue.

This comes in the wake of their failure to find common ground for settling the issue during talks held latest on February 28 and March 1, sources in the associations said.

They would go into Thursday’s ‘ritualistic huddle’ for what they described as ‘one last time.’ In case the issue is not resolved, the United Forum of IDBI Bank Officers and Employees would be forced to resume protest action. They would resort to strike and non-strike action, including but not limited to a week-long strike from March 26 that coincides with the busy last week of the financial year.

The United Front requested the management to show genuine interest in the matter, which has been pending since November 1, 2012.
